In the recent decade, information technology has advanced rapidly, with many aspects of our life logged onto the internet, including shopping. It has shifted our lives significantly.

Online shopping platforms and live-streaming marketing have made purchasing ever more convenient. We can almost buy everything from household essentials to virtual services with just a few clicks. Furthermore, the commodities from remote rural areas previously are little known to the wide market, but now online platforms can offer them more chances, which can in turn increase the income of people in those areas. However, the convenient access to online shopping can sometimes lead to excessive purchasing, which is the reason why some people are overburdened financially. Moreover, people can easily fall into the coziness of online window-shopping and use this as an excuse to not take on real responsibilities, which can entail serious psychological condition.

Considering the abovementioned, the changes in the way of shopping come with both advantages and disadvantages, and we should build on the strengths to make this digital transformation into a catalyst to happiness.
