四级口语第二，词海拾贝
eat it
exp. To fall down, usually in an especially clumsy manner. (失败)
e.g. Whoa, she really ate it on the ice out there—is she OK?
哎呀，她在那雪地里滑到了，她没事吧?
e.g. I passed in maths but ate it in French.
我数学考试及格了，但是法语考试没有及格。
e.g. He had his driving-test and ate it.
他参加了驾照考试，但是失败了。
四级口语第三，语汇积累
1. on the test：在考试中
e.g. Kyle cheated on the test and hoped the teacher wouldn't find out.
凯尔考试作弊，还希望教师没有发现。
e.g. He scored 98 on the test.
这次测验他得了98分。
e.g. Peter was afraid he had done badly on the test, and sure enough, his grade was failing.
彼得深怕自己考不好。然而正如所料，他的分数不及格。
e.g. I ran into trouble on the last problem on the test.
我被最后的一道测验题难住了。
2. have no interest in：在......没有兴趣
e.g. Peter and I have no interest in football.
我和Peter对足球没有兴趣。
e.g. It now looks as if people might have no interest in reading that stuff.
现在，看来人们可能没有兴趣来阅读这篇蹩脚的文章。
e.g. I have never known her to do it before, for as a rule she has no interest in the village folkat all.
我从来没就不知道她以前干过，她通常对这村子里的乡下佬压根儿就不感兴趣。
3. put one’s heart in：在......用心
e.g. He put his heart and soul completely in his work.
他全心全意扑在工作上。
