A: Do you know who the boys are?
你知道她们是谁吗?
B: No, the crowd started running every which way when they saw me coming near.

every which way
exp. In every direction. (四面八方，非常混乱地)
e.g. When the police arrived, the crowd started running every which way.
警察赶到时，人群向四面八方奔跑。
e.g. He brushed against the table, and the mahjong tiles fell every which way.
他碰到桌子，桌上的麻将牌撒落在地
e.g. Juice flew every which way when I dropped the glass bottle on the floor.
当我把玻璃瓶掉在地板上时，果汁四溅。
四级口语第三，语汇积累
1. passed through：1. 通过，经过 2. 经历
e.g. He passed through a difficult period shortly after his marriage broke down.
他婚姻破裂之后，经历了一段痛苦的时间。
e.g. He passed through many difficulties during the experiments.
在试验时他经历了许多困难。
e.g. We passed through miles of densely wooded country.
我们经过许多里茂密的森林地带。
e.g. I saw a flock of sheep when the car passed through a village.
当汽车行经村庄时，我看到了一群羊。
e.g. We passed through wheat fields and golden plots of sunflowers.
我们穿过小麦地和金黄色的向日葵地块。
2. some other：其他，另一些
e.g. There are some other people waiting to see you.
还有另外一些人等着要见你。
e.g. Spare your energy for some other work.
你节省点精力准备做其它工作吧。
e.g. Let's put this off till some other time.
我们还是把这搁一搁, 以后再说吧。
