为什么不同的人喜欢养不同的宠物？
Everyone has his own taste. Senior citizens are especially fond of keeping dogs or cats as pets because they are more likely to feel lonely at home and keeping pets can lessen their loneliness. In addition, dogs and cats are relatively docile compared with other animals. In contrast, the youngsters will choose some lovely animals as pets, such as rabbits and turtles. Maybe this has something to do with their age.
你对养宠物的看法是怎样的？
Many people like keeping a kind of animal as a pet, such as dogs, cats, birds and so on. They put so much enthusiasm on them that some pets are treated like as their family members.
For me, I would like to keep pets because they can bring me companionship. I do contend that pets are good and helpful companies. For instance, dogs can be kept for home security. When an intruder or a stranger walks around your house, the dog will bark loudly to warn you and frighten the stranger. Furthermore, some dogs can be trained to help the handicapped, especially the blind.
人们都说狗是人类忠实的伙伴，你是怎样认为的呢？
There are so many people saying that dogs are the most loyal partners. Though I partly agree on this view, I believe that dogs can be sometimes dangerous if they are not trained properly, especially when it comes to rabies. Therefore, dogs should be inoculated against rabies for the sake of the health and safety of the people around them.
