　　乔家大院(The Qiao's Famaily Compound)位于山西省祁县乔家堡村。是一座具有北方汉族传统民居建筑风格的古宅。总占地10642平方米。汉民族的智慧和耐劳精神，创造了巍峨的城墙、庄严的宫殿、秀美的园林，也创造了形形色色的宅院。这些宅院都有自己独特鲜活的生命。建筑专家郑孝燮说“北京有故宫，西安有兵马俑(Terra Cotta Warriors)，祁县有民宅千处。”

译文：

　　Located in Qiaojiabao Village, Qi County, Shanxi Province, the Qiao's Famaily Compound, is an old mansion with the traditional style of residential buildings of the Han nationality in North China. It covers an area of 10, 642 m2. The wisdom and diligence of the Han nationality created majestic walls, solemn palaces, elegant parks, as well as all sorts of residences. These residences have their unique and fresh life. Zheng Xiaoxie, a famous architect, says, “Beijing has the Imperial Palace, Xi’an has Terra Cotta Warriors, and Qi County has thousands of residences.”
