　　丝绸是中国的特产。从西汉起，中国的丝绸不断大批地运往国外，成为世界闻名的产品。那时连接中国和西方的大路，被欧洲人称为“丝绸之路”，中国也被称之为“丝国”。最早丝绸织品只有帝王才能使用，但丝绸业的快速发展令丝绸文化不断的从地理上、社会上渗透进入中华文化。丝绸成为中国商人对外贸易中一项必不可少的高级物品。

　　Silk is a specialty of China. Since the Western Han Dynasty, China’s silk had begun to be transported abroad and become a world-famous product. The road that connected China and the west at that time was called “Silk Road” by the European people, and China was called “Silk Country”. At first, silk textiles were only allowed to be used by the emperors. However, the rapid development of silk industry made the silk culture constantly integrated into the Chinese culture geographically and socially. And silk became a necessary high-grade commodity during the foreign trade of Chinese merchants.
