A：Jack is a bookworm.

A: He prefers to read rather than watch television. He never does physical exercise.

get sb. wrong

1. prefer to do sth. ：喜欢做某事

2. rather than：而不是......
Chrysler should go into bankruptcy rather than approach the government for help.

He insisted on staying rather than go.

3.prefer to do something rather than do something：宁愿做.......而不愿做.......
e.g. I prefer to snack when I'm travelling rather than have a full meal.
我旅行时喜欢吃小吃而不吃正餐。
e.g. I prefer to go to the movie theater rather than watch TV.
比起TV，我较喜欢去电影院看电影。
4.all-rounder：全面手
e.g. The young performer boasted himself to be an all-rounder.
这个青年演员自称是个多面手。
do physical exercise：锻炼身体
have many interests：有很多兴趣
watch television：看电视
