Personally speaking, male leaders are more task-oriented, less talkative, and more isolated while female leaders would like to communicate more effectively. Describe a woman leader you admire.
The woman leader I admire most is Angela Merkel. Angela Merkel is the perfect example of women leaders. Although Merkel is a woman, she has accomplished many things as a politician. She is someone who set goals for herself and she always make sure she achieves them. She has held the post as Germany’s Chancellor since the year 2000. Angela Merkel is a role model for many girls. She never gives up on her dreams and she always moves forward , never back.
What qualities do make a good leadership?
Excellent public speaking
Great speaking skills are identified as the most important communication requirement. Leaders must be able to speak well with the press, in front of groups and one-on-one.
Ability to command a room
Commanding a room means getting people to listen when you speak--through great speaking skills, confidence and standing tall. Moreover, if you phrase and emphasize ideas well, it will get people's attention.
Assertiveness
Executives believe assertiveness is equally important both for men and women to attain the top jobs. It means speaking up with confidence but without being confrontational.
Why are there more and more female leaders?
Thanks to the female liberation and movements promoting the equality between men and women, there is an increasing number of women leaders. Women are not confined to the monotonous domestic life anymore; instead they lead an independent and educational life.
What’s your opinion about the idea that women cannot do some things that men can do?
There indeed exist differences between men and women, no matter physically or mentally. This may account for the phenomenon that men and women are good at different things. It seems to me that it’s understandable that sometimes women cannot do some things that men can do.
