As a college student, is it better to be self-reliant or, instead, to rely on those around us? I firmly hold that self-reliance is an essential quality in our life and all of us should strive to develop it. In addition to fostering greater efficiency in our daily lives, self-dependence can also help to make life more colorful. Much more examples can been seen around us, self-reliant people might teach themselves how to learn the management skills r, study a foreign language, or surf on the internet. Nevertheless, it would be difficult to live a better life without the assistance of others. To demonstrate, a barber might have to call a plumber to fix a leaking pipe; an artist may need to ask an accountant to fill out his tax returns; and a teacher with a sore tooth will have no choice but to consult a dentist.
To wind up my conclusion, neither complete self-dependence nor excessive reliance on others is advisable or even feasible. The self-reliance can improve our efficiency and add colors to our lives.So I contend that it is a desirable trait to possess.
