　　这一组形容词都有“不断的，不停的”的意思。successive接连的，一连串的，一般指一个接一个没有间断，如：successive attempts一个接一个的尝试;其句词形式为succession，in succession一个接一个的。continual一般用于贬义，指一段时间内多次发生、时断时续,中断时间很短而又接连发生，如：Continual practice is necessary to master English. 要掌握英语必须经常不断地练习。continuous，连续不断的，如：a continuous voyage连接不断的航行。constant不断的，经常的，强调始终如一地经常出现，如：constant motion不断的运动。incessant不停的，持续不断的，强调令人厌烦地重复出现，中间有可能有停顿，如：incessant noise持续不断的噪声。
